USS Iowa crossing the Golden Gate Bridge for the last time. May 26, 2012.
Yesterday, we saw the U.S.S. Iowa leaving the Bay Area and headed for Los Angeles where she will eventually become a floating museum. Many people from all over came to catch a glimpse of this historical event and bid farewell to this ship. A fitting event for Memorial Day Weekend.

Ah, another museum, I missed that bit. Until very recently I never realized how many ship museums there are. Enjoyed the post and picture.
I didn’t realize that there were so many either, but it should be a fun one to visit…
