Happy Birthday Golden Gate Bridge (Part 2 of 2)

I have a few more pictures I want to post, but not sure if they are good enough, so I am keeping it simple and post just this one. 🙂

I am planning on taking pictures of the fireworks at this weekend’s event. I have never taken pictures of fireworks before, so it will be an interesting learning experience. Hopefully all goes well.

Did you know?

The Golden Gate Bridge’s color is International Orange!

Have a great weekend everyone. While I will be out and about and probably won’t see you all until Monday, I do have another Reblog or Linkback post tomorrow. Give it some love, okay? Thank you all for reading. You guys ROCK! xxoo

  1. We flew over the Golden Gate and another very long bridge some time ago, but it was night time. Would have love to have seen it in the daytime. Enjoyed the photo.

    • Hi JG, the other long bridge may be the Bay Bridge. It celebrated its 75th bday last year… Not as well known as the GG bridge, so less fanfare. 🙂

      • I think you’re right. I didn’t really notice the supports. It was a really rough flight though, so that may have affected my observations.

        • I am sorry to hear you had a bumpy flight. It could also have been the Dumbarton bridge now that I think about it. That’s pretty long and kinda scary to drive on especially when we have high tide. Lol. Well, sounds like you will have to come back for a future visit. 🙂

  2. Hi, again. I liked so much this pic that I took the liberty of using it to my Saturday cover story. I do hope you don’t mind it. I’m giving you all the credit, of course. But please let me know if would like me not to use and I’ll be glad to replace it with another one. Sorry about letting you know just now. Thanks so much. Wesley

  3. I left my heart in San Francisco, or part of it. The month we left California for Texas, me, my wife and 1 year old son went to the Pier for the last time a bid goodbye to the magnificent golden gate( which is international orange in reality) , Alcatraz , Fisherman’s wharf and everything that made us fall in love with the place. Today, I get to celebrate those wonderful memories through your post. Thanks.

    • Thank you so much! Funny enough, I haven’t been to Texas except fly through their airports, so I hope to visit Texas in the near future and explore… 🙂

    • I have never photograph fireworks before, so it will be a learning experience. Hopefully able to do it. Thank you and hope you are having a great weekend.

  4. Thanks for stopping by at Colltales.com, Lisa. Hopefully next time you come to NYC, we can walk over the Brooklyn Bridge, which is a great experience. Looking forward to go back to San Fran too, someday. Cheers
    Wesley
