Mixt Greens

I have been stressed out lately due to school finals and work-related issues, so decided to take a day off some time last week. Also, with residual pain on my ankle from a high-heeled related accident back in December, I booked an appointment with a Thai massage therapist at a reputable spa in San Francisco and hoped for a miracle. I had their foot reflexology treatment and felt immediately better afterwards. Even though the pain is still not gone, I am thinking about going back to them for other treatments.
After my massage, I wanted to have lunch, but I didn’t want to ruin my spa experience by eating some greasy fried food. What to do, what to do? Then a thought came to me…what about a healthy salad? Of course… With summer finally here, my thoughts seem to drift more into fresh summer produce and salads. So it was almost a no brainer when I walked into mixt greens and ordered one of their signature salads, the mixt cobb (butter lettuce, herb marinated grilled chicken, blue cheese, avocado, egg, cherry tomatoes, applewood smoked bacon, cucumber, mixt vinaigrette). Thinking back, what I should have gotten was the twist (mixt greens, goat cheese, roasted beets, strawberries, toasted pecans, golden balsamic vinaigrette) but I forgot and frankly, they are all really good salads anyway. I enjoyed my salad and strawberry italian soda al fresco because it was such a nice day out.
Happy Summer!
