It’s Autumn/Winter. My favorite part of the year. Holiday lights, hot chocolates, family gatherings, and (boot) shopping. With the icy cold air (possibly from Alaska), the Bay Area has been blessed with unusually cold autumn/winter.
While running errands the other day I noticed that I was inadequately dressed still in my spring/summer clothes (pretty much what I usually wear all year round in the bay area is thin NorthFace jacket and some yoga pants) and since this cold snap, I actually caught a cold and need something warmer to wear like jeans and boots.
So the hubby and I went boot shopping. I wanted something pretty cute but still practical to wear everyday. And guess what? It’s the Aldo ABASA ankle boot and I highly prefer it in Cognac. Deelish.
Besides the leather/suede and buckles, I love that this boot has the shearling lining. I think that’s probably what sold it for me. Absolutely the cutest part of the boot for me is the cognac/cream color combo. I am in love with this pairing. And it’s really great boot to wear in the wet/cold city streets because of the practical heel height and rubber soles. And did I mention how comfortable it’s to wear? Price: $160+ taxes.
This is a great pair of boots, but I am open to exploring more boot options, so if you have any suggestions, let me know which boots you absolutely love and why.

They look like very comfy and cozy boots! My favourite winter boots are tall boots (they come half-way up my calf) made by Gabor. They’re very warm and feel good to wear.
Thanks Grace. I will have to check out Gabor. 🙂
