After walking around the waterfront admiring the sculptures, we went to The Fish Market for a late lunch.
I have been to another location in the San Francisco Bay Area before, so I know their food is good. What I didn’t expect was how great our dining experience was going to be.
They sat us right away at the deck looking out the water. It was a beautiful view. The water was sparkling like diamonds under the sunlight…

I accidentally left the flash on, so you can’t see the sparkling water here, but see the next picture…
The service was impeccable. Our servers were extremely gracious. When one of the server had to leave, he came over and introduced us to the other server that will be taking care of us before he left. We were really impressed.
Food was delicious. We shared the Danish Blue Cheese & Walnut salad which consisted of a salad with champagne vinaigrette and candied walnuts. They split the salad into two plates for us, so that was really nice. I love the vinaigrette. It was tangy and just whet our appetite for what was to come. For our entrees, we had the Oregon Petrale Sole with lemon caper sauce. The fish was delicately prepared and the lemon caper sauce was delicious without overpowering the fish. Definitely a lovely dish to try if you like pan-fried fish dishes. The boneless jidori chicken breast dish was also good although I found it a tad dry compare to my fish dish.
This restaurant is known for their smoked fish. Unfortunately, we didn’t try them on this visit. Will have to come back to try that the next time we are in SD.
Wonderful meal, excellent service, and great view.

If we ever make it to your area – this is the place we’ll try! Thanks 😉
Animalcouriers. California is a really big state. Even though I live here, I haven’t been to a lot of places yet. San Diego definitely surprised us with all that it has to offer. I hope you get to visit and have a great time.
San Diego is actually my favourite place in California. Glad you’re having such a great visit there!
