Recipe: Japanese Curry Rice

Yesterday, I wrote about our dining experience at a Yoshukuya in San Francisco. Today, I thought I will post about one of those dishes we ate. Found this Japanese curry rice recipe on YouTube.

My opinion on this recipe is that even though it’s easy, it’s pretty involved. If you are not good at following directions and hate using two pans/pots to cook, this is probably not a good recipe for you to start out with. However, for those of you who have some experience cooking and have the time to try it, it’s pretty rewarding as Japanese curry is a bit sweeter in taste than Indian curry. For me, the recipe is not too hard, but let’s just say I wouldn’t be making this on a work night or school day because I don’t want to wash more than one pot/pan. Lol.

  2. Thanks for the recipe, I think I will give it a try. I usually use instant curry :p
I like Japanese curry more than Indian curry, because the curry taste is not to strong.
