Purely..Kay at Pure Complex for presenting me with the Genuine Blogger Award

Before I address the latest award, I have to take care of an overdue one. As much as I am not obligated to do anything, I have wanted to address this award and pass it to other deserving blogs for quite some time now. Last year was pretty hectic for me, so I am going to do this now before things get too far behind. I received the Genuine Blogger Award around May of last year from Kay at Pure Complex, whom, if you remember, also awarded me the Versatile Blogger Award that I proudly display on my wall. Kay curates some of the most interesting and beautiful finds and her blog reads like an online magazine. If you like architecture, art, movies, food, and beautiful things, go check out her blog. Besides being talented and having a great eye, she’s a beautiful person and amazing blog friend. Thank you.

Kay presented me this award and wrote,

“I just wanted to let you know that you are a Genuine Blogger. Celebrate your blog, as it is comes across to the reader as heartfelt and genuine. There are no rules with this honor. Accept it and relish in the thought that your blog is “award worthy” without having any strings attached. If you choose to give this award to a deserving fellow blogger, please do so with no “rules.” Award it to someone for his or her genuineness in blogging. Free and clear.”

So there you have it. No strings attached. After holding on to this award for almost a year, I am, in turn, awarding this to some of you because I want to honor you for your genuineness in blogging. Thank you for doing what you do and making your blog a pleasure to read.

In no particular order, I would like to present the Genuine Blogger award to:

A few days ago, I received the Liebster Blog award from Dan Balva at Hurdles to Happiness. Dan is a current student at the University of Central Florida, majoring in Creative Writing. He just completed his first book and is now shopping around for a publisher. From what I understand, Dan is looking to be traditionally published, so if you know of any reputable agents in the publishing world looking for the next great American writer, please contact Dan directly to find out more about Dan and his book. Dan’s “blog is meant to give you a deeper look into the life of a teenager wanting to become a published author, as well as offer tools and tips of advice to help you ultimately achieve the life-long goal of Happiness.” Thank you Dan and wishing you much success!

Since I am not going to reinvent the wheel, I just cut/paste this awards’ meaning and rules from his blog post to mine. Feel free to do the same when you pass this award on to other worthy blogs (smile):

“Leibster is German & means ‘Dearest’ or ‘Beloved’ but it can also mean ‘Favourite’ & the idea of the Leibster award is to bring attention to blogs with less than 200 followers all in the spirit of gathering more connections”

  1. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
  2. Reveal your top  picks for the award and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
  3. Post the award on your blog.
  4. Bask in the love from the most supportive people on the blogsphere – other bloggers.
  5. And, best of all – have fun and spread the karma.

Now, in no particular order, I would like to present the Liebster Award to some of the blogs that I currently read that inspire  me to be a better blogger. Some of these blogs may have more than 200 followers, and some may have already been awarded this award before, but I think it’s still nice to be appreciated, no? 🙂  I regret not being able to present this award to everyone I read at this present time as there are so many, so with much excitement, I present you the Winners of the Liebster Award:

  3. Oh my god!!!! From the bottom of my heart, i would like to say….Thank you very much. Words cant tell how happy i am. Its truly a rare honor for me. This is amazing. …. And thanks for always following my blog as well…….

    • Hi Nors, you totally deserve these awards. You have great recipes on your blog and I like that you tell us the medical benefits of each food. I learn something everyday. Thank you for accepting and I really appreicate your support of my blog as well.

  4. Hi Lisa, Just wanted to let you know that I really liked your blog on chocolates! They look fabulous. For reasons of distance — I’m in France, you’re in California! — I’m pretty sure I won’t be sampling the chocolates you recommend. But for me, the very best chocolates I’ve ever had were from Fauchon in Paris. Absolutely delicious. Normally I look at the wrapper to see what kind of chocolate it is before I choose a piece. But not with Fauchon chocolates — they’re all so amazingly good that it doesn’t matter which I choose! So I just pick from the box at random, and I’m totally delighted and amazed each time. If you’re ever in Paris…
