I am a food source that produces lower glycermic index than potato products and I have high protein content and rich in certain vitamins. Because I am high in potassium (among other things), and low in saturated fat and sodium, I am great for your heart health.

I am proud to say that although most of us (my siblings and I) come from humble or modest beginnings (born in poor farms), we are popular because as a food product, we feed millions of people in many parts of the world. People depend on me to sustain them through unpredictable weather and harvests and I am considered very important by many.
