I had La Salsa’s burritos for lunch the other day and it was okay.  Not my favorite burritos ever, but not bad either — for a chain restaurant.

(oh boy…sounds a bit snotty there, eh?)

Here’s my excuse…

Given that we have so many mom/pop operations in the Mission district that churn out deliciously cheap, yet ethnically authentic Mexican fare, we are a bit spoiled.

chicken burrito @ La Salsa

This burrito has fresh ingredients and tasted pretty good.

My only gripe is that they don’t heat it hot enough.

I love my burritos really cheesy…but melted cheesy, not cheese that’s just stuffed in.  A few more minutes in that steamer thing would have been perfect. 😛
