Tucked into the bend around Paradise Drive, inconspicuously low-key, this restaurant offers a delightful surprise within.  I looked out the window throughout the entire meal, mesmerized by the dramatic view of the Pacific Ocean and of the Golden Gate Bridge.  And equally captivated by the water traffic of speed boaters, leisure yachts, and a family of six crabbing just yards away from the restaurant.  Utterly charming…

Nia, Nick, G, and I were smitten.  What a surprise and delightful find this is…

We started off with strawberry mojitos. Then we shared/sampled the spring corn soup and an order of crab cakes.  I didn’t much care for the crab cakes, but Nia and Nick seem to like it.   For entrees, Nia got the pork chop with dry sherry glaze and two sides (creamed spinach and green garlic risotto). Excellent as the pork was tender and out of the two sides, the risotto was a standout winner due to the blend of flavors.  Nick and G both opted for the pan roasted 8 oz filet mignon with Cabernet sauce.  While Nick had his well done (too dry) with 2 sides consisted of grilled corn salad, and potato pancakes (interesting), G opted for his steak to be medium rare (excellent) and with 2 sides consisted of the risotto and spinach.  I didn’t want to order the same thing as Nia, so I opted for the Duck L’Orange with Roasted Breast and Leg Confit (it was a bit drier than I like, but it tasted good), and I got the grilled corn salad (I didn’t like this), and the brussels sprouts (excellent.)

We skipped dessert because we wanted to sample the other places in downtown Tiburon.
