Elephant Bar: Yummy Quick-Seared Ahi Tuna

This Elephant Bar is pretty nicely decorated. I like their door handles and the giant fans hanging from their ceiling. Because we got there on a late Friday night, we thought we will have a long wait because there were a lot of people in front of us, but we ended up getting a table within 5 minutes, thereby bypassing that line. How sweet is that?

After sitting, we quickly ordered some food to share and just relaxed. I love that their menu tells you the calories of each item, so you don’t over eat because a lot of the entrée here have pretty high caloric count. And this is especially important since we already had dinner earlier. The highlight is that their food is not bad. I got their Quick-Seared Ahi Tuna appetizer (390 calories). The tuna was fresh and delicious. Friends ordered some salads (no picture) and another friend got their Au Jus Sandwich.

To sum it up: Busy chain restaurant that serves tasty food. Not a bad place to go after shopping around the mall.

Negative: Messy & dirty bathrooms.

  1. Here in NYC, it’s required that all eateries, even fast food, tell the consumer the nutrition facts of every meal.. even if you just ordered french fries. It does stop me from overeating and then there are times when I’m just greedy LOL. But it sounds like you guys had a great time and the food looks great

    • California have a similiar law although only some restaurants and chains are posting. Not all. Small eateries and mom/pop restaurants are exempt from this for now I think.
