We’re all mad here…said the Cat

There are many instances in life where we are faced with decisions. Some large. Some small. Some major. Some minor.

Do we go about making choices by:

  • Making a pro/con list?
  • Flip a coin?
  • Ask the magic 8 ball?
  • Read minds?
  • Consult with mentors?
  • Make the best possible decision we can by doing research and then…cross our fingers and hope we are right?
  • Listen to your heart?

What if you don’t know or unsure? How do we choose what is right for us in the end? What do we do as we stand in the middle of a fork in the road?

Or does it really matter…

One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. Which road do I take? she asked. Where do you want to go? was his response. I don’t know, Alice answered. Then, said the cat, it doesn’t matter.” –Lewis Carroll (Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland)

    • Thank you Renee. I am currently standing in front of a fork in the road right now and trying to find answers…It always seems easy and vision is almost always 20/20 after the fact, but right now, it’s a tough call. Thanks for reading and also, loving the spoon suggestion. I will check that out soon. :)

  1. I love that quote. And I usually listen to my heart, pray about it, and wake up to see what happens. Flipping a coin or using an 8 ball is definitely uneffective.. its like asking a drunken man to walk straight lol. Love this post

    • You made me laugh out loud on the part about the drunken man. Yeah. I think it’s a good idea to pray about it. At this time, divine intervention is welcome. Finding the right direction is really a challenge when one is presented with limited or flawed information. Thanks for the comment. I will let you guys know how it turns out when it turns… :)

  2. great topic, just in time for me to read…….i always cross my fingers hoping it is right….and closed my eyes!!!
