Answer Key to all the Questions from 2/12 – 2/18:

Feb. 12:  If you are a piece of chocolate, what flavor would you be and why?

If you answered this, I gave you two entries. There’s no right or wrong answer.

Feb. 13:  There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only____  ____ foreign. –(who said this?)

There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign. --Robert Louis Stevenson

If you answered correctly, I gave you two entries.

Feb. 14:  I am a food source that produces lower glycermic index than potato products and I have high protein content and rich in certain vitamins. Because I am high in potassium (among other things), and low in saturated fat and sodium, I am great for your heart health. I am proud to say that although most of us (my siblings and I) come from humble or modest beginnings (born in poor farms), we are popular because as a food product, we feed millions of people in many parts of the world. People depend on me to sustain them through unpredictable weather and harvests and I am considered very important by many. WHAT AM I?

The answer I was looking for is “YAM” or “YAMS“. If you answer or guessed right, I gave you the two entries. Unfortunately, sweet potato wasn’t the answer I was looking for though it’s very close. I will try to be more clear next time on the questions. Sorry.

Feb. 15:  Research tells us that _____ out of any ten  _____like chocolates” –(Who said this?)

Research tells us that fourteen out of any ten individuals like chocolates. –Sandra Boynton

Unfortunately, I can’t give you an entry if you only answered partially. Otherwise, if you answered correctly, I gave you two entries.

Feb. 16:  The _____ goose need not bathe to make itself _____. Neither need you do anything but be yourself.  –(Who said this?)

The snow goose need not bathe to make itself white. Neither need you do anything but be yourself. –Lao Tzu

This is a very profound quote. Actually, most quotes are pretty profound. Lol. It’s also an almost giveaway answer because I was posting about snow and snow shovel that day. Big hint. :) If you answered correctly, I gave you two entries.

Feb. 17:  What’s your favorite food or meal?

If you answered, you got your two entries.

Sometimes, posting about what your favorite food or meal is harder than if someone just ask you to fill-in-the blanks. In the spirit of sharing, my favorite food at the moment is cuties (California Clementines) and my favorite meal is Kale (surprise, surprise!) sauteed with garlic and onions and top with garlic chips (if I am going vegetarian) or if I wanted meat, top with garlic chips and bacon bits (cooked fresh bacon that is cut into bits).

Feb. 18:  Tell me about your most memorable vacation or place(s) you visited and why?

If you answered, you got your entries.

One of my most memorable vacations (there are a few even though I haven’t really traveled all that much) was visiting Seattle with my best friend years ago. We had so much fun. I think it was memorable because that was our first big (flying instead of driving) trip together. We were so young and happy and we both wanted to go to Seattle. The funniest thing was being asked by one of the UW students we met there on why we wanted to go to Seattle so badly because he was so baffled by us. He wanted to visit San Francisco so badly. Lol.

  1. Thanks Lisa! I’m a big fan of snail mail but a box of chocolates from the post is the best thing ever! I’m rationing the chocolates but I don’t have much willpower so afraid to even start.
