Montiel Restaurante is a small but intimate restaurant located in the Borne neighborhood in Barcelona, Spain. The restaurant is also walking distance (about 15 minutes) away from the Picasso museum. Montiel Restaurante currently ranks #1 on the Tripadvisor‘s restaurant list. According to visitors’ feedback, the restaurant gets high marks not only on food, but also on their service.
According to the restaurant’s website,
“Montiel’s secret is in Chef Ferrán Bofarull’s ability to carefully select quality premium products, transforming them with his creative hands, and the attention to details maintained by Marcos Eiras during the entire dining experience.
The tasting menu and the menu itself are like a gastronomic trip around Spain. Visiting coast and mountains we find dishes like the iberian suckling pig, codfish carpaccio with tomato marmalade and basil oil, sea bass “Donostiarra style” with artichokes hearts, wild mushrooms and delicious cheeses and home-made marmalade.”
Sounds great right? The only downside is that I am not there right now. This restaurant is one of many on my list to try. Maybe it’s now on yours also? Enjoy the photos below and have a great weekend!
